Partnerships

Western Screen Review considers collaborations that have a clear connection to western cinema and make sense for its readers. Partnership work is assessed separately from editorial coverage, and its commercial nature is made clear.

Relevant collaborations

We may consider contextual projects such as a clearly identified partner feature, a limited run of relevant recommendations or a placement introducing a film-related service or event. Proposals should explain the subject, intended audience, placement requested and any material or links involved. Relevance and fit matter more than broad reach claims.

Partner placements

A partner placement may appear in designated recommendation or partner areas across the site. Such placements are labelled as partner material wherever they appear, including when they are shown in more than one area. They do not constitute an endorsement, review or promise of editorial coverage.

Editorial separation

Partners cannot require favourable editorial treatment, suppress independent criticism or approve unrelated coverage. We may decline proposals that do not suit the publication, lack clear disclosure or ask readers to mistake promotional material for independent editorial work.

Making a proposal

Use the Contact page and select the partnership option. Include a short description of the project, the proposed placement and any relevant commercial relationship. Please do not include confidential material; an initial proposal should contain enough information to assess fit without it.
